Amazing Air Force Story Of The Cornfield Bomber

During a training mission in 1970, pilot Gary Foust lost control of his F-106 fighter jet in a flat spin. After attempting to recover, and failing, Gary was forced to eject.

Just as he ejected from his aircraft, the jet immediately recovered from the spin. Even more shocking, the plane flew off a number of miles away, and landed by itself in a wheat field with very little damage.

After being repaired at the Air Force base, the jet was returned to service, and Gary had the opportunity to fly the lucky plane again nine years later.

Now, the F-106 is on display at the National Museum of the U.S. Air Force, and this new video covering the story is going viral.

The A380 isn’t just your average jetliner. It is the largest passenger airliner in the world. That makes it a perfect specimen for South African rugby player Bryan Habana to race.

No, he isn’t crazy. He’s just fast.

British Airways was happy to hold the race between Bryan and one of their beautiful, brand new A380′s, which is equipped with four monstrous Rolls-Royce Trent 900 engines.

The new race video makes for a great promotion, and has already garnered over 400,000 hits
