In this hilarious new viral video, Extremely Decent Films beautifully parodies what nearly every cable company commercial sounds and feels like, with the same upbeat clean styling, but a more honest direction.

After asking viewers if they want a fast, reliable connection with only the best 24/7 service, the host then says, “F*** you, you’ll take what we give you.”

Viewers are loving the finally honest twist on the lies they watch and read everyday in cable company media advertisements. If you’re going to screw us over, at least be honest about it.

Already, the four day old video stands with over 725,000 views, and has been covered on Mashable, UpRoxx, Neatorama, and Gizmodo.

The smartphone has truly changed the world. But there’s one function that is holding everything back. The keyboard.

It’s based on the huge typewriter from ages ago, so why are we still pretending we can fit it on a tiny screen?

Enter Minuum. Minuum is basically a smart QWERTY keyboard for touch screen smartphones and tablets. All the letters are spread across a banner at the bottom of the screen instead of taking up to nearly a 1/3 of the screen.

“With Minuum, typing fast is not a problem. When you’re typing, you don’t always hit the letter you aimed for. And there’s nothing wrong with that.”

Minuum’s smart technology makes auto-correct seem ancient as it dynamically adapts and anticipates what the user is typing no matter how fast they type.

But it gets better. With the new technology, we may soon be able to throw away the keyboard entirely. Imagine ‘typing’ with your watch or a video game control with lightening speed and accuracy.

SwiftKey is another interesting reinvention of typing on a smartphone, but not nearly as dramatic.

Back in November, SWNS News reported on Nigel Ackland, a man who lost his arm and received a cutting edge robotic prosthetic arm. Nearly immediately, he was being dubbed as the Terminator or Robocop.

Now that it’s been a couple months later, Nigel shows the returning camera crew how he is getting along, including how he can now tie his shoes and deal cards. More importantly, he can grab a beer, and take a nice drink with his new hand.

He also shows how he can look on the bright side of things, such as being able to grab a thorny bush without feeling it.

But he truly puts things in perspective by rhetorically asking viewers, “next time you get dressed, put your trousers on one handed. See how many funny moves you have to make just to get your trousers on.”

The week old video stands with over half a million hits, and is further featured on CambridgeNews, DailyMail, and BuzzPatrol.

When The Matrix debuted back in 1999, the stunning visuals–commonly referred to as ‘bullet time‘ special effects–blew the world away. Their state of the art camera techniques have since been copied, parodied, and spoofed countless times by Hollywood

But for years, only the big studios with even bigger budgets could create such dazzling images. Now that technology is only accelerating at ever greater speeds, small time artists and producers can replicate the effects.

Just take Marc Donahue, who created stunning ‘bullet time’ visuals with his homemade array of GoPro cameras. The shutter speeds aren’t perfectly synced, but that only results in even more interesting visuals.

The project was covered more in depth on FStoppers. Now, the week old video stands with over 30,000 views, and is only picking up viral momentum.
