Across the Western world, talks of marriage equality fill the air. In New Zealand, parliament just passed a marriage equality bill that is being cheered by those on the left.

But change didn’t come easy. Member of Parliament Maurice Williamson was peppered by constituents who seemed to think approving a gay marriage bill would result in the end of the world.

To put an end to all that nonsense, Maurice gave this epic speech in parliament that has instantly caught fire online today after being published by the New Zealand Herald.

Gandalf Famous Sir Ian McKellen Says ‘You Shall Not Pass’ During Speech At High School

“You shall not pass,” is one of the most famous quotes from contemporary cinema. Viewers get shivers hearing Sir Ian McKellen as the great wizard Gandalf proclaim the powerful phrase in The Lord Of The Rings.

Last December, YouTuber Frxdo had the lucky opportunity to hear Sir Ian speak at his high school.

Either by request, or just because he knew how well the gag would be received, at one point during his speech, McKellen said to the auditorium, “If you don’t study for the examinations. If you don’t do your revision. You know what’s going to happen?

“YOU. SHALL. NOT! PASS!!“

Genius. Naturally, the crowd erupted in applause.

High School Senior Announces He Is Gay At Senior Award Ceremony

On the second week of January, Jonathan Rudolph‘s son’s school held a just for fun award ceremony for the seniors, handing out awards such as ‘Class Clown’ and ‘Most Likely To Succeed.’

Jacob Rudolph was awarded ‘Class Actor,’ but had more to say than just thanks in front of the microphone. He took his opportunity in front of over 300 peers and teachers to finally come out of the closet.

He announced that he’s done acting on a day to day basis as someone he isn’t. He’s done acting straight. He is an LGBT teen.

Now, the two week old video has over 550,000 views.
