Sesame Street loves inviting popular celebrities to star on their kid shows to help keep bored parents engaged. The most recent big name to visit Sesame Street is Mad Men star Jon Hamm.
He and the red and cuddly Elmo discuss sculptures in the video that is already featured on Vulture, Mashable, Gothamist, and UpRoxx.
Father Jesse Teeters has finally reached that point in fatherhood when the real fun starts. His adorable daughter is 2.5 years old, and is now finally old enough to have more fun with dad than just rolling around on the floor and spitting up.
As dad says, “The culmination of 2.5 years of parenting. Our first duet.”
Sesame Street has been known to parody adult-focused TV shows to keep parents just as entertained as the kids. For their latest spoof, they have taken on the new British drama Downtown Abbey in Sesame Street: Upside Downton Abbey. Just over the weekend, the new muppet parody has garnered over 400,000 views.
Supreme Court Justice Sonia Sotomayor is almost as controversial as the president who nominated her, namely Barack Obama. His supporters, of course, cherish her, while his adversaries are obviously not such fans.
So naturally, when Justice Sotomayor made a guest appearance on Sesame Street recently, her short clip posted on YouTube went viralviral.
Already, the video from last weekend has over a quarter million views, and is further featured on popular news sites, such as Salon, Washington Post, NBC Latino, and Huffington Post.
Fans are loving the fact that the first Latina Supreme Court Justice made it clear that, “Pretending to be a princess is fun, but it is definitely not a career.” She then listed all the careers available for a little girl to choose, from teacher to doctor, to even Supreme Court Justice.
This isn’t the first time Sesame Street has incorporated pop culture into their programming. They went viral a while back spoofing the television show True Blood and with a Grover spoof of the Old Spice commercial.
This time, it’s everyone’s favorite junk food monster who sings Share It Maybe about cookies in this Call Me Maybe parody.
