Kickalicious Trick Shot Viral Video Star Is Picked By Detroit Lions

Bighdeluxe published this video back in September, but it has recently resurfaced over the weekend after the star of the video, Havard Rugland, was actually picked up by the NFL to play for the Detroit Lions.

Obviously, the Internet has become much more than just a fun place to post your sports videos. It has become a serious form of a digital resume.

Like so many other trick shot videos before, Havard Rugland performs impressive placekicker football-themed kicks and maneuvers, such as scoring a 60 yard field-goal as if it were a walk in the park.

Now, the Kickalicious video stands with over 3.9 million views, and has recently been featured by Breitbart, Yahoo, Mashable, and NFL.

Adopted Girl Is Reunited With Foster Sister

Osartist published this heartwarming video over three years ago, but it has only gone viral now after being posted on Reddit. Years ago, this very large and very special family adopted a girl from out of state.

Unfortunately, her foster sister whom she had grown very close to was ineligible for adoption. After waiting years, the foster sister had finally become an adult, outgrowing the foster system, so the family thought ‘better late than never’ and brought her into their ever growing family.

Crushing A Concrete Cylinder With A Giant Mechanical Press At University Of Illinois Urbana-Champaign

Every year, the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign holds their very popular Engineering Open House day, which is full of fun activities and events. One of the most popular events this year was crushing a concrete cylinder with a giant mechanical press.

The Bad Astronomer was at this year’s pillar crushing, and caught the entire scene on camera.

The crowd was nearly silent as the giant crusher made contact with the 800 lb concrete cylinder. For over a minute, the host read off as the kilopounds of pressure built up until finally, the cylinder gave way at 1,600,000 pounds of pressure.

The crowd burst into applause as the host asked, “Am I the only one that jumped?”

At the world Championship Blacksmiths’ Competition Tongs section, competitor had 45 minutes to create ‘Hot Fitting tongs out of 3/4 round stock with the reins already ran out.’

The painstaking, yet mesmerizing, process is shortened into this six minute video that is going viral after being shared by BestOfYouTube, VideoSift, and Reddit.
