State Farm teamed up with award-winning director Spike Lee to create this touching 10 year anniversary tribute to 9/11. Close to 150 New York City school kids visited four firehouses to thank them for their courage with song. They sang New York City anthem Empire State Of Mind by Jay-Z and Alicia Keys. The tribute is a little more tasteful than Hooters’ commercial.
While dropping off his junior high kids, the bus driver noticed smoke coming from the turn signal cover, so he quickly pulled over and shut off the engine. That’s when flames erupted out of the engine compartment. He quickly evacuated the students from the bus, and only once everyone was out of harm’s way was there a huge explosion.
June is a time of ice cold drinks, parties, graduations, and, most importantly, celebrity commencement speech speakers. NorthWestern was lucky enough to have the hilarious Stephen Colbert of the Colber Report speak at their graduation. He makes going to NorthWestern worth it.

Graduation is a great feeling. You are free of school and can feel the chains of bondage melt away. But when you are at your graduation ceremony, don’t get to excited. This graduate was so pumped up, he decided to cartwheel on the stage. But he messed up and made a fool of himself in front of the whole school. Oops.
