Every now and then, new never before seen footage from one of the original Star Wars movies makes it to the public. It’s been a while since the last secret film dump, but film maker Jeff Broz made up for the wait after he published this seven minute clip of glorious original behind-the-scenes Return Of The Jedi footage. The video is featured on TheForce, MarySue, and Devour.
Yoda’s last scene in Return Of The Jedi is a sad, serious, and emotional one. OneMinuteGalactica didn’t think it was funny enough, so they re-edited it with additional farting sounds. The video is featured on Tosh.0 and IHeartChaos.
Here we see a short missing scene from Return Of The Jedi. Darth Vader calls to Luke telepathically, and we see Luke finishing building his own light saber. Luke ignites it and we see the familiar green glow.
At first I thought Luke was the Emperor. Perhaps that was the hidden message. If Luke did go to the Dark side, he would end up just like the Emperor. It was a long internal battle, but as we all know, Luke stay on the Light side.
I have a feeling every years Lucas will release a new version with another 5 second clip added and make another $500 million. This scene, plus a few additional others will be added to the six movie blue ray collection, coming soon. Perhaps it is George Lucas who has fallen to the Dark side. Come back to the Light side George.
Update: Sadly, George ALREADY has had the video taken down. I guess he didn’t want people realizing it’s just 60 seconds of basically nothing, and that he’s just trying to milk Star Wars for every penny he can. Hey fan boys, there’s a reason these deleted scenes were cut in the first place – they suck and don’t add to the plot.
