The Web is heavily populated by Gen-X and Yers who still have a strong affection towards the 8-bit world. As a result, it is difficult to find a pop song that isn’t covered in the classic 8-bit video game sound. 

It’s a wonder it took a music artist online so long to cover Daft Punk with a retro sound. Finally, Joe Jeremiah has come forward with a cover of  ”every song from Daft Punk’s new album Random Access Memories in 8-bit style.”

Mike Mika‘s three year old daughter loves the classics. Video games that is. Her favorite is Donkey Kong, but she wondered why there wasn’t an option to choose to play as a princess to save a distressed Mario at the beginning of the game.

Computer programmer dad got on the case, and made Donkey Kong: Pauline Edition. Now, video of the game play has gone viral, amassing over 750,000 hits in just a few days.
