These days, marketers are finding ways to sneaktheir products into viral videos left and right. And for the most part, if the video is done well enough, viewers are more than willing to spread the video for some free marketing views.

This Elevator Murder Experiment clip is the latest advert hidden as a video to go viral. Just this week, the video–which is really a promotion for the new movie Dead Man Down–has collected over 1.5 million views.

As the clip starts, it asks, “What would you do if you walked into a murder in progress?”

Hidden cameras were placed around an elevator in NYC. As people walked into the elevator, they would discover a murder in progress. They of course had no idea they were really two actors.

The reactions of witnesses is quite disturbing…

Would you have the guts to save a man from murder?

Every online knows what the Harlem Shake is, of course. It’s the (now dead) video meme where you dance like crazy with your friends to Bauer’s Harlem Shake techno beat, and post the video to YouTube, right?

Actually, no. That’s not the real Harlem at all. As the web has seen before, Harlem was not amused by the new dance fad that has seemingly hijacked the original Harlem Shake dance from the 80′s.

Now, Power 105. 1 has gathered some dancers from actual Harlem to dance the actual Shake. Daaang. The original dance is actually pretty cool, and difficult to master.

Now, the new video is quickly starting to trend. It has already garnered over 75,000 views, and is featured on DailyDot, VideoSift, and KollegeKidd

By now, most of the Internet is already sick of the Harlem Shake dance craze meme. But shockingly, there are people in real life who don’t live their lives in an Internet culture bubble, and still haven’t seen the new online Harlem Shake.

That gave NYC based Schlepp Films an idea. They traveled to the streets of the real Harlem neighborhood in Manhattan, New York City, and showed passersby the new craze.

For the most part, they aren’t impressed.

Now, this Harlem-reaction video has already garnered over 450,000 hits in just one day, and is further featured by Gawker, BroBible, Mashable, and HuffPost

The New York City subway is famous as city’s the stage for the outrageous and the ridiculous. Out of nowhere, a scene can emerge, be it funny, serious, or even dangerous.

Elena Beloff was on her daily commute when a preacher started ranting about how ‘the gays’ were destroying society. Nothing out of the ordinary just yet.

But then a man stood from his seat to rebuke the preacher as a ‘hater’ and a false prophet, resulting in an LGBT rights debate. Finally, he announced that he was in fact gay, and yes, Jesus loves him.

With that being said, the train car burst into applause!

By now, you, your cat, and your grandma have seen more than a life time supply of Harlem Shake dance videos. But there’s always a few creative stragglers at the end of the life of a meme that truly stick out from the crowd.

CBC set up in advance for countless New Yorkers to converge on Times Square at the same time for an ultimate flash mob Harlem Shake dance

It’s one of the craziest Harlem Shakes we at ViralViralVideos have seen. If you look closely, you can see a few NYPD officers even make a special appearance as they try to shut the event down. Good thing MarkT Films made sure to document the entire event
