Bodegas are an essential part of New York City. The little convenience stores are everywhere, and there always seem to have a cat or two around. Most owners don’t mind the feline guests. The cats keep away mice and other pests, so the owners let them stick around. It’s mutually beneficial. But now the New York City government wants to fine any bodega with a cat.
We saw the 90 sq ft apartment in Manhattan that went viral last April. That apartment at least had it’s own bathroom and ‘bedroom loft’. Now this even small apartment in Manhattan has gone viral.
It’s only 78 sq ft, and when you’re getting that small every inch counts. He has to share his bathroom, but ‘only’ pay $750 a month. People outside New York are shocked, but some NYers want to live right in the thick of the city with out paying tens, or even hundreds of thousands of dollars a month. This is the only way.
Remember the swordsmen who went viral when they attached a camera to the end of a sword? Well, more people are creating crazy effects with today’s new smaller and sturdier cameras. One skateboarder attached a GoPro camera underneath his board and skated around New York City. The board seems to stay still while the ground moves. It’s a crazy effect. New York City is a loud place. The buses’ brakes whine, the subway rails shriek, and garbage trucks roar through the city. Sometimes, you just need a break from all the chaos.
