NYPD Chase Run Away Horse Through Manhattan

New York City is well known for their horse drawn carriages. The carriages have been around long before the automobile, and today are often used to take tourists around town. But many animal rights groups believe it’s time to retire the horses for good. Groups like NYCLASS Ban Horse Carriages have more ammunition as a horse recently ran away from its handler and took to the streets. New Yorkers were shocked to see NYPD squad cars chasing the horse down 11th Avenue. Now, this ridiculous clip that seems to be from a movie has gone viral.

NYPD Arrest Musician For Singing In Subway

Seeing a musician performing in subway stations is a common sight in New York City. But apparently, one New York City cop had never seen a musician in the subway before, because he asked guitarist Andrew Kalleen to leave the station or he would arrest him. Andrew even had the officer read the Metropolitan Transportation Authority’s rules of conduct aloud which clearly states artists are permitted to play in the stations, but the cop arrested Andrew anyways.

Now, this clip has gone viral with over 350,000 hits!

How Does New York City Get All Its Water

Everything in New York City is a complicated, big deal. In most small towns around the world, their water works departments have a relatively simple job. But servicing water for over 9 million customers in New York City is no easy task. What may surprise you is that the entire system is powered by gravity. The New York Times investigates how NYC gets its clean, fresh water in this eye-opening report

NYPD Arrests Audience Member During Stand-Up Show And Heckles Comedian

Brooklyn comedian Adam Newman was on stage working his set like any other night when the unimaginable happened. Four New York City Police officers barged into the small theater and started to arrest an audience member. When Adam tried to keep the atmosphere light and ask what was going on in a joking manner, the cops heckled him and literally told him to STFU. Only in New York!

Ironically, this interruption made for a great viral video

New York Times Takes Second Graders To One Of New York’s Fanciest Restaurants

The New York Times has realized that you don’t go viral with traditional stories anymore, no matter how interesting or factual they are. So they studied a bit of New Media, and made this adorable story. Instead of taking a renown food critic to a restaurant for their magazine’s fall Food issue, they took a group of second graders. The children were treated to a meal at one of New York City’s most expensive and fancy restaurants, Daniel. The kids enjoyed a seven course meal that would usually cost each diner over $200.
