Bike Race On Glacier Is Intense

Most bicycle races are not that exciting. But as its name implies, the Megavalanche is mega intense. Riders race down a steep mountain of ice and snow, crashing and knocking into each other. Racer Jamie Nicoll wore a helmet camera during the recent race, and captured an intense scene at the beginning of the race. Jamie ended the race in 7th place.

Terrifying Helmet Camera Footage Captures When Skier Saves His Friend Covered By Avalanche

Skiing is always a somewhat dangerous sport, but it can become deadly when an avalanche is involved. Three friends decided to go skiing on the Swiss Alps even after a meter of snow had just fallen and the avalanche warning was high.  

Finally, the inevitable occurred, and an avalanche covered the skiers with snow. Daniel, who had a helmet camera rolling, was luckily only pushed down by the snow. That was when he and Andrew realized their friend James was missing. 

By a stroke of luck, James had raised his hand holding his ski pole up the moment he was smothered by the snow. His friends only found him in time because they saw the tip of the ski pole poking out of the snow.

Red Bull Media House has collaborated with MSP Films to create an epic film about skiing and the skiers who love the high-speed sport. This trailer for the film, Days Of My Youth, shows a skier rushing down the crack of a giant mountain, and has gone viral with over 2.3 million hits.

Terrifying Footage From Mount Ontake Volcano Eruption In Japan

The Mount Ontake volcano in Japan just erupted at 11:50 AM local time. Terrifyingly, there were 150 mountain climbers attempting to ascend the mountain when it erupted. Kuroda Terutoshi was one of the mountain climbers who was there and captured this chilling amateur footage of the explosion that has instantly gone viral with over 1.5 million hits and counting!
