The famous New York City landmark Grand Central Station just turned 100 years old. Commuters and tourists froze as they were bewildered by the flashing lights and colors. Of course, the entire event had the green light from the MTA.
Part of the New York City subway experience includes shrieking loud wheels, humid waiting platforms, and, of course, the panhandlers and beggars.
The standard procedure is for a panhandler to walk from car to car reciting the same old speech that apparently everyone has notes for.
But on the 4 train last August, one car experienced more than a few beggars. The car was literally overtaken by solicitors until it became a full fledged panhandler party.
