Hippos are often portrayed in cartoons and other children’s media as playful and soft. But in reality they are great and powerful wild beasts, not ones you want to run into alone by the watering hole. 

This video from last summer published by Alex G00se really portrays the true essence of hippopotamuses in their natural habitat. While on safari, one bull didn’t like them so close, and slammed into their jeep. The cameraman almost lost a hunk of his leg!
