Rescuers Save Baby Elephant Stuck In Pit

Perhaps it’s because nearly every American watched Disney‘s animated classic Dumbo as a kid that we all seem to have a very special place in our hearts for elephants, especially baby ones.

That’s what makes this latest video from elephant research and conservation project Amboseli Trust for Elephants that has started to trend now so special.

An eight month old calf became stuck in a shallow well with his mom nearby who was becoming visibly ever more frustrated not being to save her baby.

Luckily, the the Trust got word of the issue and sent two jeeps to check out the situation. After some hard work they were successful.

There are few things cuter than seeing a baby elephant run full speed after mom. “Moooom! Wait for meee!”

The Eyes of Thailand is an inspirational documentary about one woman who is on a quest to help elephants, especially one who lost their leg. In this touching and powerful scene, Motala the elephant walks for the first time on her homemade prosthesis.

Elephant Throws Mud At Man At Berlin Zoo

Judy Makin Amy Osborne was visiting the Berlin Zoo when they caught a rare scene of elephant on human aggression on camera. An elephant loaded their trunk up with plenty of mud (or poo?) and flung it at a man standing at the gate to the exhibit, scoring a direct hit.

You can almost see the elephant smiling with satisfaction. The video is featured on BodyBuilding, Reddit, DailyPicks, and Yababoon.

Crocodile Bites Elephant’s Trunk While Drinking Water

This safari video published by HaruhiroHaruki starts out like any other calm scene of nature. A family of elephants going for a drink and a splash by the watering hole. How nice.

Suddenly, while the biggest elephant was having a drink it started thrashing its truck. A crocodile had taken a direct bite onto the trunk, most likely mistaking it for a snake.

The elephant instantly threw its trunk up with so much force, the crocodile flew into the air for a moment. After it finally released, the elephant made sure to give it a few good stompings.
