After the 2008 summer Olympics in China, Michael Phelps took the US by storm. His face popped up everywhere, from magazine covers, to late night TV interviews, to cereal boxes.

And many fans were even more excited to see a repeat of the gold medalist record breaker.

But even though he’s not doing half bad, there’s another name this year making a ‘splash’ in the headlines. Ryan Lochte.

Sports-themed entertainment channel  noticed Lochte and, not wanting to miss their chance to spoof Carly Rae’s over played hit single, created this Call Me Maybe Lochte-Phelps spoof.

The three day old video has over 380,000 views, and is featured on YouTube’s esteemed YouTubeTrends, TheFW, and NOWmsn

There’s already been a farm-themed parody of a hit pop song this summer, namely the I’m Farming and I Grow It spoof of I’m Sexy And I Know It. It’s a pretty decent parody that has nearing six million views, but Li’ Fred thinks he can show up those farm boys.

Nine year old Lil’ Fred is farm boy too, and with the help of his computer savvy older brother Justin, chose to spoof the over played hit singly by Carly Rae Jepsen, Call Me Maybe. He titled his parody Farm It Maybe, and it’s quickly starting to trend.
