Leave it to YouTube famous music producer Kurt Hugo Schneider to somehow make Call Me Maybe fresh and new again.
He teamed up with Jessica Jarrell, Jake Broido Music, and James Alan to perform a jaw dropping mash up of the over played Carly Rae Jespen hit single with Payphone by Maroon 5.
The resulting track is pure pop music heaven.
It’s horribly unoriginal, but Team USA fans don’t care. They love the USA Swimming Team specially made Call Me Maybe dance video that already has over 390,000 views, and a feature on RollingStone, DailyMail, And Examiner.

There’s already been a farm-themed parody of a hit pop song this summer, namely the I’m Farming and I Grow It spoof of I’m Sexy And I Know It. It’s a pretty decent parody that has nearing six million views, but Li’ Fred thinks he can show up those farm boys.
Nine year old Lil’ Fred is farm boy too, and with the help of his computer savvy older brother Justin, chose to spoof the over played hit singly by Carly Rae Jepsen, Call Me Maybe. He titled his parody Farm It Maybe, and it’s quickly starting to trend.
There’s no question the two hottest songs this summer is Gotye’s hit single Somebody That I Used to Know and now Carly Rae Jepsen’s Call Me Maybe. There have been countless spoofs and covers of the two songs.
But never has there been a mash up of the two, and there’s no one more fitting for the job than quirky indy band Pomplamoose Music.
