How quickly we forget. The BP oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico was on the news for months. But for some reason, people forgot that the tragedy occurred. There are still animals dying and worse, now, people dying from the oil and chemicals used to ‘clean’ the mess. This heartbreaking video of a woman who is now sick as a result of BP’s action just went viral. Very sad.
Women of the Storm present Be The One. A video of people, including Sandra Bullock, Robert De Niro some baseball player, and real people, telling Americans to sign a petition. The petition demands to restore the Gulf and not to forget all the people, animals, and nature that have been hurt by the BP oil leak. Countless animals have died, and many more will perish if we do not act now. Many Americans depend on the gulf for the economies.

“News Five collected samples of water and sand from Orange Beach, Gulf Shores, Katrina Key and Dauphin Island. To our eyes, the samples appeared normal, until we took them to a local lab to be tested.
Water and sand along Alabama’s coast should contain no more than five parts per million of oil or petroleum, according to Bob Naman, an analytical chemist. But, the samples we collected tested much higher.
From 16 ppm to 221 ppm, our results are concerning. Even more disturbing is what happened to a sample collected from the Dauphin Island Marina near oil containment boom.”
Not only has the government allowed BP to destroy the Gulf of Mexico, They are obviously trying to keep the citizens misinformed, and literally cover up how bad this situation really it.
