This vintage commercial was posted online in December 2009, but just went viral now after being featured on BoingBoing, StuffIStole, and LaughingSquid. The black and white commercial is for a very strange Christmas toy from the 1960′s, The Six Finger. The Six Finger is a finger shaped gun that shoots small projectiles, and it even has a pen built in.

This vintage 1930′s video was posted online in 2009, but just went viral now after being featured on BoingBoing. The vintage black and white clip is of fashion predictions for the year 2000. Like so many ‘in the future’ predictions, they are all ridiculous, but they did correctly predict that skirts would go out in favor of pants.

Back in the raging 20′s, the phone had finally become standard, and people were trying to find the next big thing. Even though they didn’t have the technology for it, people were already thinking of getting rid of that dang cord, and going mobile. Now we take cellular phones for granted, but it must have taken a brilliant mind of think of it back when movies were still silent. The vintage footage has been recently uncovered and it featured on TheTelegraph via IHeartChaos

Back in 2006, Justin Timberlake was on top of the music scene with his hit song Sexy Back. He quite literally brought it back. But it’s been five long years since JT released a new album. He’s been doing a lot of acting, but his fans, “don’t know how to pleasure themselves to Bruno Mars.” They need their Justin fix, and are begging him to return to music.

Back in the 50′s and 60′s, women were still ‘in their place’. What place was that? Why, at home, cooking, cleaning, and preparing for when her man in shining armor arrived. The media followed the social norm of basically blaming everything on the wife. Coffee commercials almost always had a scene when the ‘great’ husband tastes, and then negatively reacts, to his wife’s coffee. Today’s commercials may still be sexist, but at least they aren’t as ‘in your face’ about it.
