The video has gone viral since last weekend, amassing over 70,000 views, and has even been featured by TheDailyWhat, UberGizmo, and DVice.
Ironically, while attempting to save a struggling swimmer off Rio de Janeiro’s famous Copacabana beach in Brazil, a fire department helicopter crashed into the briny deep. Thankfully, all four crew members walked away from the event, and the swimmer was rescued by a surfer.
