Now that summer is here, people will again be filling their freezers with Popsicles and ice cream for a cool treat. But have you ever noticed that brittle layer of ice that builds up on foods sometimes when left in the freezer too long?

It’s pretty gross and basically ruins the food for good. But why wonders Minute Earth? Sublimation. The water moisture in the food actually exits and freezes on the outside. Kind of like freeze drying your food.

To cram even more storage space into the smallest of chips, technology companies like IBM must take their research to the next level.

As apart of their new atomic memory, IBM is literally manipulating the smallest particles of any element in the universe to our advantage.

To promote their new breakthrough, IBM commissioned this adorable stop-motion short film made up of frames from their atomic microscope.

Appropriately, the short is titled A Boy And His Atom

Now, the video has earned the handle as the smallest movie by the Guinness World Records, and has garnered over one million views in just one day. The video is further featured on Geek, Wired, and NPR

Marius B. demonstrates how Google has accidentally created abstract avatars for its mass of specific users that reflect their fears, emotions, goals, and preoccupations in this week old video Life through Google’s eyes

This becomes most apparent when using age as a class in the Google search bar. Marius simply searched, “I’m X years old and,” and let Google finish the query. He did this for the teenage years well into old age.

Obviously, teen pregnancy and older virginity are the most pertinent issues on people’s minds. Humans are obsessed with sex after all.

Viewer Kyle King was touched by the powerful video, and renamed the it, ”How to make an amazing video with $0.”
