Mr Thylulenspiegel likes to say that his pet rat is just “like a tiny dumb dog.” Well, not so dumb really.

Impressively, the rat has shown the ability to play fetch, catching a tiny ball that is tossed its way, and returning it to the hand it originated from.

His cat also seems to have an identity crisis, walking by the rat with no apparent interest. Just like Garfield.

Adorably suspenseful videos of a mother duck separated from her young ducklings by an obstruction is nothing new online.

Over the weekend, Jenny Pan happened upon a mother duck on campus with her ducklings stuck on a tiny ledge.

Well, tiny to us humans, but a terrifying cliff to the ducklings. After two dramatic minutes, the ducklings daringly jump down to mom, one by one.

In just a few days, the video has already garnered over 150,000 views.

In a scene seemingly plucked right out of a cartoon, a man found a kitten on the side of the road with its head stuck in a metal can. And it wasn’t just any man, but the World’s Strongest Redneck.

“There you go baby,” says the man after pulling the can off the kitten’s head. “He’s all happy now. That’s what world’s strongest Redneck does. Walks around saving kitties.”

Ironically the can was ‘Special Kitty’ canned cat food. The cute kitty video is actually from 2011, but has resurfaced over the weekend.

This video by MsJumpinJude was published last November, but has only exploded online this weekend, amassing over 1.1 million views.

Disco the Parakeet loves the recite all the famous phrases he’s heard on TV and in the movies over the years. Now, his vocabulary has turned into one big mish-mash of famous sayings, song lyrics, and even some beat boxing music.

Inevitably, one phrase always seems to lead to another.

“What seems to be the problem officer? I’m not a crook. I’m a parakeet Disco,” says the mimicking bird.

What 90′s kid doesn’t remember watching Homeward Bound over and over? The 1963 remake tells the popular story of a group of dogs that become separated from their human family and have to trek home for miles.

As is Disney tradition, the movie ending is a serious tear jerker as the dogs finally reunite with their owners.

Pug obsessed Pugs Place loves showing the family film to his puppy Pugsley. As is evident in this 2008 video, Pugsley amazingly seems to follow the plot of the movie, dancing with excitement every time one of the dogs would reunite with their human friend.

Disney is so good, their magic even works on dogs.
