Every Star Wars fan hates the fact that their favorite movies were ‘updated’ by George Lucas. You can’t just keep updating famous movies as technology advances. Well, you can, but they are going to be horrible, as is evident from SW.

And now that Star Wars 3D is coming out, fans are again taunted by more updates that add nothing to the film; they only detract from it.

Just imagine if James Cameron did the same thing with Titanic? It would be a disaster just as is portrayed in this mock trailer for Titanic SUPER 3D by PistolShrimps.

For countless nerds, Star Wars I: The Phantom Menace was the biggest let down of their lives. It almost doesn’t seem deserving of the Star Wars title.

But George Lucas is more of a business man than an entertainer, so he doesn’t seem to care. He’s relaunching the entire Star Wars series in ‘eye popping’ 3D, and he’s starting with Episode I. This is what the trailer for the 3D re-release sounds like to all true Star Wars fans.

The future is here, it’s just taking a little longer than we expected. For decades, science fiction nerds, as well as real scientists, have been dreaming of true 3D images. Most 3D today is really just a 3D optical illusion on a 2D screen. But this brand new technology is able to display an electronic image without a physical screen – the air, or even water, becomes the ‘screen.’ Though in their infant stage, holograms are finally here.
