1950′s Packplane Prototype Is Basically A Flying Truck

Last week, aviation and aerospace obsessed Air Boyd published this video about the 1950′s Fairchild XC-120 Packplane.

The aircraft was an American experiment for heavy aerial transport with a unique and unconventional removable cargo pods, almost like a tractor trailer. In the end, only one XC-120 was built, and the idea was scrapped.
