As egocentric humans, many still think the world was created for us. People even used to think the Earth was the center of the universe. Neil thinks otherwise.

    The universe could reasonably have a purpose in that it is a simulation in order to attempt to explain an unseen universe that created us in their image for scientific purposes.

    Just wrote about this very topic the other day. I don’t believe the universe has a purpose, at least not one that humans can perceive. That enables us to assign it whatever beautiful, poetic purpose we choose.
