Two months ago, tornado storms struck the Midwest, and tore through the Kentucky-Indiana border. After the storms calmed, one mom made national headlines when word of her raw heroism broke.
After realizing the twisters were coming, Stephanie Decker grabbed her two kids, ran for the basement, and lied on top of them. At one point, the storm literally picked up their home and when it came crashing down, fell on Stephanie’s legs.
She knew she would lose her legs if she didn’t move, but also realized that she couldn’t move as to protect her children. She chose her kids over her legs, and lost them due to injury.
Now, with new prosthetic legs, doctors told her it would take over a year to learn to walk again, but Decker proved them wrong during a visit to the The Ellen Show.
