Mother Gray Whale Lifts Her Calf To Meet Tourist

Oceanographers OneWorldOneOcean caught a very touching scene on camera. The whales in San Ignacio Lagoon often come to visit small tourist boats. They are as curious about us as we are about them. In this case, a mother whale helped her calf enjoy an extra close encounter with tourist, which caused one woman to scream in excitement.  

The week old video just went viral on MetaFilter, and was subsequently featured on TheDailyWhat, 22Words, and YouTubeTrends.
