To Americans, Chinese and French sounds like gibberish. We can imitate the sounds and the gestures, but we’re not really saying or understanding any of it. The concept is true for the opposite. This must be how English sounds to foreigners. Even though it’s gibberish, I keep thinking I kind of understand what they are saying.
