Wisconsin, Ohio Union Protest Explained

The Republican governors in Ohio and Wisconsin say that the current union protests are about the budget deficit. But the first thing they did in office was give big corporations huge tax breaks. So what did they think was going to happen? Now that the rich are given a break, the Republican governors are going after the working people’s money. Teachers, fire fighters, and police are making way too much. Right… When I think of rich people I think of teachers and police. But the unions have agreed to cuts, so what’s really going on? Union busting.

    My father in law was a union president who stood for the original intent of the unions, namely avoidance of worker abuse and safety. Since then unions have moved to be agents of the lazy and irresponsible. I personally do not want to pay for excessive benefits that are not sustainable and provide no value. Teachers are paid wages that are excessive given the fact that they work 9 months out of the year and complain about staying an extra 5 minutes to help the kids. They work off the same lesson plan for decades, illustrating a lack of initiative. Then they have aids which are not needed if they do their job. On top of that they pay nothing towards their healthcare and continually want more and more. To add insult to injury, they then apply for unemployment in the summer!!

    Teachers aren’t the only violators of common sense. Congress and all government workers should be participating in the Social Security system and Obamacare when or if that abortion is reality. Then and only then will government begin to solve systemic problems and face reality.

    Unions and government continue to wage class warfare. This is clearly a socialist method to allow those who have no initiative or skills to reap the rewards of those who do.

    Unions should be banned from government! We need another Ronald Reagan to put a stop to this insanity. I say this because it is evident that they are not capable of being reasonable.
