10 year old Jackie Evancho gets the crowd to go wild with her opera singing! The crowd and all three judges give her a full true standing ovation. Sharon can barely praise her over the commotion the crowd makes. She truely is an up and coming super star.

Very talented little girl with a lot of potential, beautiful voice. Not a perfect performance compared to adults, but absolutely stunning for a 10 year old. I think another song, the type that she could’ve sung without transposing down and less demanding would have been better, but I think AGT wanted something everyone knows.
One thing: “Con te partiro” has absolutely nothing to do with opera. It’s a crossover song, written for Bocelli. “Opera” is an extended work of drama/comedy set to music where music plays the most important role. Similar to musical theater, but operas are performed without microphones using classical style of singing where the singers are trained to project the sound so that it carries over an orchestra in 2000-4000 seat opera theater without amplification. “O mio babbino caro” was an aria from opera, Gianni Schicchi by Puccini. But “Con te partiro” is a popular classical crossover song and has absolutely nothing to do with opera.
