Another rhetorical question from the annoying rhetorical question guy. Could Geico really save you money? Is a bird in the hand worth two in the bush?
We’re taken to a fake Antique Roadshow where a professional appraiser is looking at a fake ‘bird in the hand’ brought in by a woman. ‘The fingers are perfect, and the bird is in mint condition,’ he says. ‘In auction ‘the bird in the hand’ would be worth, hmm, two in the bush.’
And of course we hear the expected tinkle, sprinkle sound effect and the text appears at the bottom of the screen, classic Antique Roadshow style. The woman is pleasantly surprised. She can’t believe it.

This commercial is a complete and total outrage which depicts black people as ignorant ,,, u know what …. what kind of douchebag marketing kkk member came up with this one,,, the lady acts suprised like shes blown away its worth so much….. we have really taken steps back n society when we allow subliminal racial slurrs and jokes r played and the intelligence of an african american woman is broadcast on national tv as being a suprised idiot… she’s like Really its worth two in the bush…. This an outrage geico should be sued by the NAACP wheres jessie jackson when u need him….lol…. O with his mistress……. haha lol…. whatever… make that money at the expense of black peoples intelligence……

You have got to be kidding…. This gal was a fantastic actress. My wife and I love her reaction and can’t believe that she pulls it off this well in this setting. Did we notice she was black? Not until you had to mouth off…. Get a grip bozo!
This is a blue ribbon bit of satire. I give it 5 stars out of 5 stars….
I think the black actress is terrific. In fact I came to this site while searching for her name. So far the only commercial that annoys me (similar to reaction to the cavemen) is the squealing piggy!
Hey Jimmy Johnson – you’ve never seen Antiques Roadshow on PBS have you? On the show, people who have similar reactions to the surprising value of their antiques and collectables are the ones you ROOT for. It’s a wonderful experience to find out that old chair your uncle left you has value far exceeding what you might have imagined. Everyone who watches it waits for these moments sprinkled throughout the show, regardless of the color of the item owner or estimator.
i think he’s seen antique roadshow because…well..he knows what one is..im black and i dont think this was racist at all..it was freakin HILARIOUS!!!!! wait..let me watch it again “mmmhmm…mmhmm…mmhmm…….. ……REALLY?!” UNBELIEVABLY FUNNY! this video is totally worth “at least two in the bush”

Jimmy, you just don’t get it. My wife and I love this commercial and we stop what we are doing each time it plays… We have see the Antique Roadshow and this actress delivers her lines with laser point accuracy. This commercial is worthy of a CLIO award. This woman is a fantastic actress..
Whoever posted something about depicting anything about anyone black in this commercial is from 190…NEVER….shut up….this woman is hilarious and made this commercial amazing!! I love her. Makes me laugh every time.

My wife and I like the Antiques Roadshow program. We think the subject commerical is well done which includes the acting , of course. As a result, I tried to find out the name of the actress in the commercial because we think she depicts the reactions in a realistic replication of those on the program. Then I found some of the complaints that the commericial is racist. Is the commerical racist because it depicts a stupid white man thinking the object is worth two in the bush?
Some people perpetuate racism by seeing it anywhere and anytime.
Oh this commercial is extremely funny. Why do people always have to dig so deep into something funny and turn it racial. It never fails I swear!

The commercial is full of sexual innuendo and I agree with the respondents who are disappointed to see a black actress in this kind of role – again. I hate this commercial and am depressed anytime I hear it.
I have a dirty mind you say? OK. Maybe the double meaning is only accessible to a certain age group – SOme of the posters here seem to be genuinely unaware of it.
Just because you people see this as innocently funny doesn’t mean she’s lucky enough to escape ridicule in the eyes of others: Ex. poster “Big Bush”
Like a lot of actors/actresses who have to take risky roles to survive in the industry, I hope this actress gets beyond this rather ugly episode. Deepest apologies to those of you who feel something is somehow being taken away from you because we express this opinion.
